It's summer time and you know what that means - kayaking and canoeing! We're doing our part by maintaining our favorite creek and keeping the area along Highway 20 clean and accessible. Join us as we take care of our community environment.

We will be at the Cypress Creek and Highway 20 overpass (around the corner from McFarland Park). Please plan to park at the Seven Mile Island Wildife Management parking lot near the Cypress Water Treatment Plant on Sevenmile Island Road and cross over to the creek entrance. If you are headed north on Highway 20 from McFarland, the parking lot will be on your left before you get to the turn for the Sportsplex. If you are headed south on Highway 20, the parking lot will be on the right after you pass the turn for the Sportsplex.

We will provide all of the equipment needed. Thick gloves and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Following the cleanup, stick around for a community picnic at Veterans Park from 11:30am-1:00pm! The whole family is invited!
